It seems the Rapture Ready people want to preach to little kids...
http://www.rr-bb.com/showthread.php?t=273443 <-- A post on Halloween and what they plan on handing out. Quite a few of them are passing out tracts, unsurprisingly. Some of them even talk about bundling it with candy so that the kids have to see the tract :eyes:

I'm obviously not a fan of people trying to convert anyone who has no interest in their religion, but this is just :grr: If I had kids, and someone tried to convert them under my nose, I'd kick them in the face :grr:

1. That's the problem with many religions.
If you believe that your religion is the one and only truth, then not only is it OK to try to brainwash impressionable children under the noses of their parents, but you are morally obligated to do so.

3. Par for the course with fundies, TimeChaser. It really is - nothing new.
No less infuriating, mind, but it's nothing new.

4. do you think
any kid would be interested in the tracts with a bagful of candy waiting to be eaten? I think i would find the tracts creepy, did I understand the original post...tracts about evil, and then tracts about anti-evil?

5. Are they handing out Chick Tracts?
I remember some DUers saying that they occasionally got them in their bags on Halloween.

7. People like that shouldn't be allowed near children!
Here's a nice tract for Hallowe'en:

8. Typical Fundie ploy
Many of them refuse to even hand out candy because "Halloween is an evil pagan holiday, blah blah blah". So they hand out tracts begging children to renounce Halloween and come to Jeebus instead so they won't burn in Hell. :eyes:

Whackjobs.
