9. Your post about them made me think of starting this thread
The Richmond Highland Games are in about two months (one of the best on the East Coast, imo, although the Potomac Celtic Festival is the classiest), and we're also gonna try to get up to Maryland soon, too.

6. I spend two years waiting in anticipation of the Dodge Poetry Festival.
www.grdodge.org/poetry/

It's the biggest poetry festival around. And to further cement my geekiness, I will wait in line for half an hour just to get a book signed from a poet I like.

37. Things that people you know say are geeky
Even if you think they're cool.

Like, take the SCA: I went to a few gatherings, it wasn't my cup of tea, but I could see where people would love doing it.

Because I like doing all of the same things. Too bad you're not gay.

I also rush onto imdb after I watch a movie to see what other movies/TV shows the actors were in.

41. Writing code
and building webpages. Most of the guys I hang out with are dumb as a box of rocks when it comes to computers. They all marvel at something as simple as compiling code or building a webpage.

42. I love going to Ren Fests and state fairs
And all other similar festivals.

My gf and I are having our one-year anniversary and have decided to go to Medieval Times, which for those who don't know is a silly-ass medieval-themed restaurant. We decided we'd rather do that than have a super fancy pretentious dinner.

Yup, definitely geeky.
