Had my dog poisoned in my yard. Twice.

I get to work this morning to find that we'd been burglarized. Missing? $6000 of my PERSONAL fucking laptops. Two of them. One that just got paid off a few months ago. One I'll be paying off for the next 2 years. My new 17" MacBook Pro. :cry:

Well, I'm not holding my breath with these yayhoos since the BANK was robbed during BROAD FUCKING DAYLIGHT a few years back and they never came close to catching the guys that did it but....

The cops say - they'll make a report. :shrug: There were muddy footprints in the office, and he (the cop) took pictures of those - got a list of the missing items (my 2 personal super-high-end notebooks, one older not-so-great work notebook, 2 work cellphones, and one visor w/ cds belonging to one of my co-workers), and reviewed the SUPER SHITTY video from the outside cameras.

Looks like we'll be getting new security cameras installed in the very near future.

But work does. But it is my understanding that almost NEVER do you get enough in a claim to replace the items outright - so it looks like I'm still going to be out of pocket hundreds of dollars. Most likely.

And all my STUFF on both machines - it's all gone. AND a contact list of anyone that's important to me - names, phone numbers, addresses... FUCK! I'm so not wanting to deal w/ this right now. :cry:

9. Clarification -

Stalker = in no way remotely connected to the break in and theft. Just added that part because I can't catch a fucking break to save my LIFE!! Everything's been way stressful lately - and now THIS.

Hopefully the stalker will be leaving town soon - I'm laying low and waiting.

I had a stalker once, though he did not do anything close to what you're going through. It was freaky enough, though. Once I confronted him and told him I would call the cops if I saw him anywhere near me, he stopped. I hope yours gets caught or leaves very soon.

As to your computers, no, you certainly did NOT need that on top of the stalker problem. Wish there was something I could do to help, besides send you good thoughts, and a hug.

17. Stalker should be leaving soon -

I finally went to my bosses at work about it on Monday. The stalker is a contractor working at my company. I dated him for awhile. He's a hardcore alcoholic. So hardcore, you'll never see him drink. And he's OBSESSED w/ me.

Anyway - I was told by a boss that his work should be wrapped up by this weekend and he should be out of here. I know he won't be leaving then - as he tells me that he still has *2* more weeks of work left. We'll see what happens.
