Fox turned into a hardcore porn channel so gradually I didn't even notice.
Edited on Fri Dec-19-03 09:19 PM by elperromagico
This quote from The Simpsons seems to become more accurate with each passing year, as the people at Fox keep redefining the bounds of good taste. Could we have imagined a program like Joe Millionaire ten years ago?

Any thoughts?

2. Do you mean the faux babe reporters
or O'liely doing a porn star?

3. I think there's a "Boot clause" in Fox anchorwomen's contracts.
There always seems to be an obligatory long shot of one of their anchorwomen wearing a pair of knee-high boots. Thank God O'Lielly sits behind a desk... I'd hate to see that.

5. There must be a root clause, too
As in, Get your bleach job touched up before the roots are longer than a half inch.

4. One of my friends was pointing that out ot me
About a year ago. Is funny how prophetic the Simpsons can be.

6. it's entertainment
it exists because you consume it. Personally when I watch shows like the above mentioned (Joe Millionaire right on down to Faux News), i can only stomach about 2 minutes. Fox's portrayal of women is frightening.

8. Actually, if they truly did turn into a hardcore porn channel, it would be
an improvement.

10. whenever...
... people want to claim that Fox is "controlled by the right wing", I'd just remind them of their overall programming and what it proves.

Fox is the least 'family values' station out there with respect to programming. Why do they show all this stuff that pushes the envelope? Because it gets ratings and $$$.

Why do they parrot the RW line in all their news/info programming?

Because Americans want the simple feel-good, right-makes-might, America-can-do-no-wrong message that the RW lives by. Tell the people what they want to hear, and they will tune in. Many have never forgiven TV journalism for telling the truth about Vietnam way back when.

Is this good news? No, it is not.
