4 out of 5 toes agree that
hitting that fan while I was walking really really smarted.

Ouch!

2. It's the couch.

That's where Sunday Girl, pictured below left, goes when she hears wind or thunder. I usually follow. She's the boss and it works for her. I follow suit. :)

The wind actually died down. I'm suspicious. Ernesto is one of those under the limit types of storms that cause flooding and damage to individuals and it goes unnoticed. I hope I don't slip through the cracks.

My toes thank you. They are still throbbing and they now feel extremely hot. I think they are mad at me. Great. Now I gotta worry about my toes attacking me AND Ernesto leaving me homeless.

:pals:

3. If it makes you feel any better...
I once was having a very vivid dream that I was in a fight and I kicked my bedroom wall as hard as I could (this is weird because normally, I'm a very still sleeper). I woke up in excruciating pain having jammed all my toes. I'm pretty lucky that my foot was wrapped up in the big down comforter, because I'm sure that I would have broken my toes and stuck my foot through the wall (easy for me to do) had my foot not been wrapped up.

6. Where I used to live, there were these two sliding
closet doors. I kept them open normally, but I started hiding my plants in there because Yogi and Domino tried to tear them up. I had a dream that I was fighting and kicked that door. It was a bad bad night for me. The door was hard right where I kicked it. I know how that feels. I can sympathize with how you felt.

The pain is starting to kick in now. I can now pinpoint which toes may actually be broken. The middle toe on my right foot and the one closest to the "pinkie" toe. Ouch!

The throbbing has dissipated and I can walk on them without screaming in agony. :)

Have you took a good whiff of the wind up there? Does it smell like the beach to you too?

I just went to check one last time to see if RCC is opening on a delayed time in the morning and found a story about Polar Bears. It's sad, but there is a line in the article that just cracked me up. I feel so guilty for what I thought. Those spoiled female polar bears...I honestly never knew that. It's on WSOC's web site. I put it up as a separate thread in the Lounge.

I haven't heard any more gusts since that last one. Weird, huh?

14. They seem to have stopped hurting
as long as I don't touch them. When I accidentally touch them, it's right back to the soreness. I gotta stuff this foot into my shoe in the morning because they haven't delayed school and my aunt asked me to stay home today. I dread in the morning.

20. kicking a fan for the night crew?
that's no way to treat a member of your fan club.

Take your toes to bed too, or two since it is now 2:08, or they might attack you in your sleep, like in that horror movie "Night of the Toenail"

22. The 4 toes wrapped around the leg of the fan
and bent backwards. I screamed like that guy in Home Alone did when that spider landed on his face. I have some bruising today, but the pain has eased now.

19. Wow. I know a little how you feel, having stubbed one earlier today- I ca
only imagine what four would have been like. Gotta watch those fans too Jamastiene. Once, when I was stationed up in Juneau, I got distracted and jammed it into a big, hurky, steel fan - blade split my thumb & I still have the scar. The guard was a joke on the one I encountered, but still, fans can bite when they get the urge.

23. I know some of the fan makers can do
a better job than that. They should find out the average size of an infant's fingers and make the guards smaller than that. The fans would still work. I am sure they would be safer that way.

26. I might have to for that one toe that is
situated funny today. It is sorta sticking out away from the others. It looks like it is pouting. The other toes must have ridiculed it (overnight while I slept) about who got hurt the worst.

It is begrudgingly back in line now although it does seem to have quite a bit of an attitude. It has a bluish black sort of tattoo on its knuckle.
