Does anybody else love baby carrots?
I have never been much of a vegetable guy, but damn it if I am not addicted to baby carrots.

I usually bake them in the oven with boneless pork cutlets, spice them up with some salt, pepper and garlic, then lightly fry them in nonfat oil spray. After that I fry some rice, scramble an egg, cut up the meat and mix all of the ingredients together for pork fried rice. (I often steam some broccoli and toss it in too) Then just add some soy sauce to taste and it's good to go But the carrots are what make it, imho. They are so effing good it is sinful. :)

They are awesome for a quick snack too. Just get some ranch dip -or whatever you prefer- and there ya go.

I have eaten so many baby carrots in the last few months that I think my body is freaked out from actually eating something healthy, haha. :)

4. great snack food ... I was surprised
:) to learn that they are really not baby carrots as such, but 'whittled' down from larger ones. I really did think they were baby carrots :(

5. hmmm...
I have some ocean front property in Arizona.... :)

No, actually, I wasn't sure if they were whittled down or actually genetically altered to be "babies" so I know what you mean.

11. oh I always wash carrots
damn it. Except a little bit ago. I forgot too. Oops. :)

I buy regular carrots sometimes. Those things are a hugh pain in the ass. I think you hit on one of the primary appeals of baby carrots, the no peel factor. :)

16. I just finished eating a bag!
I have baby carrots every day with my lunch. I like them because they're very refreshing and crunchy. I hate cooked carrots, tho'.

They haven't done anything for my poor vision, sadly. :(

20. Oh yes
They are delicious and amazingly versatile. Eat them right out of the bag, with dip, steamed, in a stir-fry, mixed with other veggies, in a salad, in soup or stew--the possibilities are pretty much limited only by your imagination.

Edited on Sat Sep-02-06 02:41 AM by fleabert
She has yet to refuse one, and I think she would eat them until she burst and her blood ran orange. ;-)

on edit- I forgot that I lost my avatar! No Flea for everyone to know wtf I am talking about...here she is...not eating a carrot, but gnawing on a bone, another favorite thing to do.

27. They sell well. And Hell if they are not really baby carrots.. but adult
carrots that have been cut down and molded to look like babies. Cause everyone loves a baby. A real baby carrot would have ridges on the outside and a stem in the centre. You sir have been mislead.

I like them too!
