:hi: Are you a night worker, too, or do you just like to stay up late? I tend to stay up really late by nature; when I was working or going to school during the day, I usually wouldn't get enough sleep at night and would crash for a couple hours in the afternoon.

I have a piggy caat that likes to jump at my bedroom door until i wake up and give her wet food
So when i do that I normally just stay up

We have about 12-15 whitetail deer that regularly appear in the woods by my house, plus a mother bear and three cubs, plus whatever raccoons and crap is wandering around out there. I'm sure I'll find something naturally out there. I still need to take some photos of the cabin back there. I have an idea of taking photos of it in every season. It's just a stone foundation (about the size of a small room) with a stone chimney.

:scared:

Man, that f***er freaks me out!

No flirting last night, except with myself, 'cos I haven't left my cave in two days except for a wee hours stroll to the supermarket -- the Strip is a war zone this weekend and I had more than enough of it on Friday. But I did just tuck this week's take -- two business cards from a 'working girl' (some of her services listed on there), a phone number for a lovely young woman who took quite a liking to me, a model's business card, a painter's business card, a DJ's business card, a welder's business card, a business card that just says "my card," and a silver coin with the Ten Commandments written on it -- in my little stash of souvenirs. One day I'm going to show my grandchildren (perhaps prudent to wait 'til they're 18) all the evidence I've accumulated from this job, 'cos nobody's going to believe I ever did this sort of thing if I just tell 'em. :D

EDIT: ooo...just found a scrap of paper from this week's adventures with the name 'Jacqueline' and a phone number in the 704 area code (North Carolina, at least around Charlotte). I have no idea who Jacqeline is, or why I have her number, or how it got into my possession (occasionally I'll find note and money slipped inside the V-neck of my jumpsuit, but I don't remember that happening this week), so now I'm kinda intrigued. :-)

64. my weird orange, texas story
in 2004, someone spiked my drink with LSD (something i hadn't done in about 15 years) and we all went out to sing karaoke at a bar in chicago.

in between songs, i go up to the bar and overhear that distinctive, east texas drawl.

i ask the guy (eyes fully lit and teeth grinding) "where ya from?"

he pulls out a badge and says "orange, texas, i'm a cop there."

i say, "whoa, check this out officer" and produce my texas dl that has a golden triangle town in the address.

he bought me some drinks and i bought him some and he went on and on how cool chicago was, and i slid right into "good ole boy speak" with him all the while his face was rearranging, sliding, and little cartoon characters were doing daisy chains in orbit around his head.

Edited on Mon Sep-04-06 06:47 AM by last_texas_dem
Especially that you were either hiding it really well, or that the guy was totally oblivious to your being in an "altered state"! Plus, the bizarre coincidence of y'all both being in Chicago but from the same, distant area.

I wonder if I've been pulled over by that cop before? haha
