I hate dieting HATE IT HATE IT HATE IT!
I hate the wanting stuff that I cannot have, the wanting of things I should not eat, and the fact that I still crave snickers!

But I want to be 150 lbs so I must keep on...

1. Hang in there!
It'll be worth it. I just lost 15 lbs. and I can fit in my PANTS again! I still have more to lose, but I am happy with my progress.
You can do it! :hi:

3. You can still enjoy the things you love ...
all things in moderation so the story goes.

Do you know we have a weight loss / maintenance group here on DU?
You'd be most welcome to join others who are struggling as you are :)

8. weight watchers is good...I am thinking of just going with Healthy Choice
meals and eating lots of veggies to go with it. The diet I am on is too restrictive in the way it is formed I think.

11. I eat frozen lean cuisines and augment them with fruit and veggies
I also have eliminated a lot of the junk food in my household...

I am tired of dealing with stuff I know is bad for me.

So have been throwing away or giving my kids and the other kids in the neighborhood all the goodies while they play outside...(they are all pretty thin and healthy kids...so a box of Girl Scout thin mints will not be a detriment to them...)

14. they aren't bad and they have taught me portion control
I used to fill an entire plate with spaghetti...I can literally eat and drink my poor hubby under the table....but I have to moderate my diet.

I need to lose about 20-30 pounds to be in a heart healthy area.

I joined a group to keep myself honest and be good.

13. It is okay to sneak a small taste...
Edited on Mon Sep-04-06 08:20 PM by HypnoToad
Moderation. One small piece per week won't be bad (cut up one bar into small segments...)

I was a bad boy over the weekend and splurged...

If I had self control, I wouldn't have eaten the whole bag...

Of course, I didn't need to buy the bag either... :9

15. Well I reserve Saturdays as my day to "cheat" and get a few things off
diet. But what an above post said, this is more to do with my hormones then anything else...Last week I was fine.
