Poll question: Will you watch Croc Hunter's death video when posted on web? |
|
Apparently, Steve Irwin's actual moments of death were caught on film.
When the stingray hit him, he was okay until he pulled the barb out himself.
Everything that's on film eventually gets out.
Will you watch it?

He got a stinger to the heart. So the video would basically be:
Snorkeler swimming along... string ray swims past... possibly a sudden jerk from either or both... snorkler's corpse slowly drifts to surface.

5. Ever see video of a person getting electrocuted? |
|
Basically, it's just a person walking around minding their own business, perhaps on a wet surface. And suddenly they fall down dead. No smoke, no shooting sparks, no sound effects. Nothing exciting like you see on those "Real Video!" shows. Just a guy dropping dead.
Which is what one would probably see on Irwin's death video. I mean, it's not like the guy was torn to pieces by a pride of lions. I've seen a video of that too, ain't pretty.

If the owner of the video chooses not to post or publish it, how will it get out?

It's not like he was eaten alive by a crocodile. But I won't watch it. I figure if something happened to me I wouldn't want people watching it as a form of entertainment. So the least I can do is extend that courtesy to others.

I slow down because it's a reminder that car crashes can happen. It's not front and centre in one's mind until you come upon one; we often feel invincible in our own little (or large, depending on your vehicle) metal cages.

34. for people who said hell no or fuck no, do you object to war dead pics? |
|
In that case, the unpleasant experience is crucial to putting the situation in perspective.
If you had a kid who was thinking about being the next Steve Irwin, you might not think it's a bad idea--unless you saw the tape. You might still be happy with junior being the next croc hunter, but you'd know the potential costs.

Would be more cautionary to aspiring stingray hunters. Hell of a way for him to go, taken out by a lucky hit from a creature that's normally little more threatening than a honeybee.

But that's an entirely different subject, IMHO..........
Steve was doing this because he wanted to....and his death was an accident.
War is all about killing, yes?
And we need to see war dead to remind us of the costs of war!

"See kids, if you wrestle crocodiles, a sting ray will get you in a freak accident."
It would be absurd to even use the video as a warning to snorklers and scuba divers, because it was such a freak accident.
