Korean watercolor art using leather rectangles as brushes? |
|
Edited on Tue Sep-05-06 03:09 PM by NickB79
I was at the MN State Fair yesterday and saw a booth selling a Korean art kit that used rectangular-shaped "brushes" that you dip in watercolors to paint with. I remember the info said it was from Korea, the 1800's Choson dynasty, and I think it began with Huj?
I want to find more information on it for my girlfriend (who is now kicking herself for not buying it).

with alot of different watercolor paintings. Maybe you can find them there? Or call the local fair board and see if you can track down the info on the exhibitor from them. Good luck! http://www.watercolor.or.kr/main/?table=gallery_b_0&page=1&no=1&b=b&sk=lv&sh=ye&sf=year&sw=2000&ru=25&lay=u
