It's been a month and a half since I lost my best friend. |
|
No, she didn't die. She just decided she didn't want to be a close friend anymore. So tonight, Skip and I are talking about seeing if we can find some people to hang out with, you know, some couples or something where he can play video games or watch sports or something with and someone I can shop with or chit chat with. I told him that in the end, most people just disappoint you and most friendships are one sided. Then he called me jaded. I guess I am. Sorry for all these poor pitiful me posts. It's not my intention. I'm just venting. I don't really have anyone else to bounce off of. Thanks for listening. Duckie

4. She said that things I'd been saying were "making her angry." |

And she refused to elaborate. Things had been getting weird for a month or more. I used to take her home so her husband could work late and I liked playing Auntie to her son. It was mutually beneficial. Anyway, long story short, her husband stopped working late, and I couldn't do anything for her anymore, so I guess i wasn't necessary anymore. Most of my friendships end up one sided. I guess I should be used to it. Duckie

I know it hurts and it's lonely.
We're here whenever you need to vent.

Happened to me once. I think that can be worse than romantic rejection, especially since it seems like a rejection of your personality. At least that's how I felt.
Sometimes things work out for the best though. I found the best friend I ever had because of being rejected by my previous 'best friend'. Either way here's a

5. Well, luckily I have one friend who's more of a sister. |
|
She was my best friend for so long, we just started calling each other sisters. We don't see each other much, but when we do, we pick back up where we left off. She's truly my best friend. I guess the one I recently lost wasn't really a friend. Doesn't make it hurt any less though. Duckie
