2. roflmao
that film traumatized me...

especially the part where she burns up the handy man by locking him in the cellar. how freaking twisted was that. I guess I am someone's bad seed, perhaps a couple or a few, but hell, you can't be loved universally.

just reading the dialoque creeps me out. the mom was teched, that was the whole problem. What was up with those twisted folks back then. Nowadays we just slice people up in horror films...

5. you got that right, early psychoanalytical musing as to whether...
evil, or malicious behavioral patterns are transferable genetically, or 'merely' nature v. nurture

"In both plays malicious children thrive in an environment of fractured adult relationships. There are no stable married couples in either play."

"Maxwell Anderson's Bad seed is based on the last novel of William March, a man so psychologically damaged by his experiences in World War II that he regularly saw an enemy soldier he had bayoneted sitting at the foot of his bed. The nightmare melodrama March fashioned tells the story of Rhoda, who, her mother gradually discovers, is genetically programmed to act without a conscience. Rhoda drowns a classmate to get his spelling medal, and she burns the handyman to death because he is onto her. Christine, her mother, discovers in the play that she herself was adopted and that her biological mother was the infamous poisoner Bessie Denker, who fooled every jury into believing "she couldn't have done it," with her "lovely dewey face." In order to stop the inheritance of evil, Christine decides to kill herself and Rhoda as well. But a neighbor intervenes in time to save the child. So in an ironic fulfillment of melodramatic expectations, Christine becomes the poor sainted Mother and Rhoda the orphan, who everyone thinks is an angel, but who the audience knows is really a "destroying angel" like her grandmother. It is a nice touch that this neighbor, Monica Breedlove, believes herself to be free of bourgeois illusions because having been psychoanalyzed, she has seen "to the bottom of her soul." She even brags that she once met Sigmund Freud himself." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maxwell_Anderson

either way :scared:

7. Go Raiders!
There's one high profile poster who has a Raider avatar, yet is so gallant he puts everyone who disagrees with him on ignore, including myself. Then he announces it. Cracks me up since the big bad maverick Raiders are supposed to be fearless.

9. Hey asshat! What's up?
How's your steak? My tofu here is great!

And you, how are you enjoying the heterosexual lifestyle you chose? Oh, me? Yeah, I'm still queer. Nope, I haven't completed my mission to force small boys to dress up as fairy princesses. Yep, I'm slacking in pushing my ideology. I'll get right on that, skipper.
