Pet Products Gone Too Far.
Just rec'd via email from PetSmart:

"Easy Living with a Hint of Crimson."

Cat accessories (beds, toys, etc.) with red piping, embroidery, fabric, or trim.

"At last! Beds, toys, bowls, blankets, and accessories that are color-coordinated and will complement your kitty's chic style."

:eyes:

My cat has too much dignity to be treated like some little rat dog in a purse.

1. My kitty does not have chic style.
All he wants is a full food dish, a clean litter box, and a quiet place to take a nap.

3. You don't want your cat to live in a state of tackiness, do you?
Edited on Wed Sep-06-06 08:04 PM by ocelot
There is a grave risk that other cats will laugh at him behind his back if he has to sleep on an old blanket and play with bottle caps. It would be like if you had an avocado green plaid Herculon-covered couch and a velvet Elvis painting in your living room, and your yuppie friends Biff and Muffy dropped by on their way to play squash and you could see them trying not to snicker. The horror; the humiliation! Don't do that to your cats.

4. Wow, and I thought I was extravagant when I bought Midnight...
a black leather spiked collar. Of course, that fit her personally perfectly and she needed a collar anyway. Overall though, we just have simple scratch posts, steel bowls for wet food and big hopper feeders for dry food and water. I guess my cats lives have a boring decor, but they seem pretty cool with it.

8. Dog food made from Duck. Seen at Whole Foods.
yep, that's what I said, Duck. The things that go quack and cost you $12 a bird, frozen. We have people who don't get enough food but our poochies are dining on duck din-dins.

America is insane.

18. I feed vension and duck cat food to my cats regularly.
They love it and it doesn't cost any more than the chicken or beef Nutro canned food. Anyway, cats are healthier when not fed a cheap diet. Nutro costs about as Iams, has cleaner ingredients and doesn't test on animals. Nothing insane about that.
