I now hate ice cream trucks |
|
with their repetitious "When the Saints Come Marching In." and "Pop Goes the Weasel." Gaaah! Driving up and down my sister's street ALL DAY. About 8 or 9 trucks, not to mention that these same damn trucks constantly return. One truck has an annoying cartoony "BOOOIIIINNNNG" sound while another has a nasal "Hello" that plays intermittently.
I just got back from my sister's and now have "When the Saints Come Marching In." as an earworm.

5. Our trucks play all kinds too |
|
it's those two that I have mentioned that are played often. I wonder how the people in that neighborhood keep their sanity?

7. I get "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" every day from 4-6.... |
|
and it isn't even really an ice cream truck...just an average, every day van with faded stickers, a tinny speaker, and a whole bunch of people hanging out the window.
But I'm happy to hear that I'm not the only one behing driven crazy but ice cream trucks.

8. In Chicago, I had an ice cream truck that would drive by my place... |
|
and it's music didn't only have that tinny sound quality, but sounded distorted. As if the music were slowed down in spots. It was bizzare. My roomate and I couldn't recognize the original tune (we tried like hell) but when the truck came around we would run to the window shouting, "Satan's ice cream truck is back!" and become mesmerized.

10. Ours is too fricking loud that you can't really make out the tune... |
|
It's bad enough that I am already hearing impaired but I don't want to become deaf by cheesy calypso music!!!
