My Grandmother's Swirling About Over the Atlantic Ocean . . .
Meet Florence

Meet Florence

Coincidence? I think not!

She's been unable to communicate clearly for about a year (dementia) . . . what do you think she might be trying to say?

I love my Grandma and miss her very much.

3. I'm so sorry to hear about your Grandma.
My grandmother and I were very close. She developed Alzheimer's and did not recognize me for the last six years of her life. I missed her so much. When she died, all I felt was relief because she was no longer trapped.

I really, really miss her.

5. Nope.
That's my mother out there. She must be pissed off about dying last December. Trust me, I have thought that this storm's name was damn ironic. No photo, sorry.

6. Ironic, indeed.

We all got a kick out of a hurricane "named after" one of my sisters several years ago. I won't post her name, but you can join the laugh just the same: the headline in her local paper read, "__________ Slaps Virginia." My sister still has the clipping.

8. Heh heh. Nope.
Although that one was a doozy. Lots of trees down in our neighborhood.

9. Grandma's moving more slowly than I thought she would.
It's taken her two days to move from east of PR to east of the Bahamas.

Well, yeah, I guess at 89 she would move more slowly. But she is still kicking ass.
