Damn neighbors
I was watching a movie (Walk the Line actually where the music is somewhat louder than the dialog) and first they bang on the floor because, apparently was too loud for them. So turn it down, but I have to turn it up to hear what they are saying. Still they call the fucking cops because apparently absolute silence is required because their highnessess need their beauty rest. So FUCK YOU NEIGHBORS.

1. Over a MOVIE???
GAH.

They live upstairs?

Wait until the next time they do something equally offensive...like, oh, walk across the room too fast. Turnabout's fair play, after all.

2. I know it seems really ridiculous
I deal with their music (usually not this late-more like late afternoon, early evening). I've ahd it up to here with these people. Guess I am going to try and break my lease. I don;t need this shit.

3. This happened to me once
Stupid people upstairs would let their 3 year old ride its big-wheel trike over the linoleum floor (imagine ultra loud grating sound all day and night).

No amount of ceiling pounding with a broom handle relieved it.

So, I started smoking during the summer when they had their windows open. I began having wild, loud sex encounters, and I would stare into their windows from the yard outside for hours on end.

They finally moved (fuckers).

Hope Ive given you some pointers on being a bastard. :hi:

9. Try putting shrimp in their hubcaps
I did that to a moron that got on my nerves once. They drove around for weeks stinking like hell. I watched them clean their car repeatedly and still they couldn't find the source of the smell. Kept them too busy to complain.

10. Too many movies are like that on TV
The music and sound effects are real loud but you have to stain to hear the dialogue. This might work ok in a theatre where it's quiet but not in your livingroom especially if there is other ambient noise, such as the air conditioner, fans, etc. I have to watch a lot of shows with the captioning on or I miss a lot of the dialogue.

Your neighbors sound like putzes.

12. Funny story. A friend of mine, 65ish was staying at his mother's
mobile home in Florida. She's 89 and golfs 18 rounds every day. Both are deaf. They were watching a movie one day with lots of blood curdling screams in it. The neighbors called the cops. When the cops showed up, my friend, Ralph, answered the door (after they banged on it forever). There's Ralph in his t-shirt and boxer's, his mommy standing in the kitchen behind him. Cops say, "Is your wife ok?", referring to mom. Needless to say, Ralph was livid. His wife comes home next day after a trip to Vermont, hears the story and rolls on the floor laughing her ass off. After years of being totally embarrassed between the 2 deaf haddocks, she just thought this was hilarious. Neighbors got dagger stares for the rest of the season.

13. They can fight sound, but what about SMELL?!
Every time....EVERY time...you have gas, and feel you're about to blow the trumpet without using your mouth, run downstairs, check for any witnesses, and let it rip at their door. Eventually, something will smell rotten in Denmark.

15. The movie ended by 11
It wasn't loud (except the music part was louder than the rest) and I did turn it down when they complained.

And I found a notice from the apt. manager saying I have one violation in my file. You get three I guess. So I guess it is time to invest in some wireless headphones. That is the only way to get these assholes off my back.

City ordinance says no sounds higher than 85 decibles between 11 pm and 6 am (which is why the cops never show up before 11) but I guess the apartment complex has different rules (which I admit I didn't really read- something about "quiet hours" which was left undefined).

Now I know I guess. So my bad. But was it really necessary to bang on the floor (their floor-my ceiling) at 7 am this morning when I was not doing anything? so they are still assholes.
