Sorta. Seems she discovered the mirror in the hall.
And has spent the last four days gazing into it.
For hours on end.
Non stop.
She doesn't even want to sit in our laps anymore. Or at least not until she's hungry.
I'm thinking of changing her name to Narcissus.

1. We had a cat who would snarl at his own reflection. |

Not the brightest piece of kibble in the box, that one.
Your cat may be avoiding you because of the baby. Cats hate change.

2. Perhaps, but she actually was curious about the baby. |

Until she discovered the mirror that is!

4. Ah, but that's cat behavior. |

She is looking for a new loyal playmate while she decides about HIM. She will come around. I've seen many cats pout, disappear within the house, or otherwise act out when something major changes in their environment. It takes a while for them to adjust. Some of my favorite experiences were watching the wary cats assess me, the pet sitter. Some would never walk anywhere near me even after two weeks of providing them with fresh food and water. Most cats didn't care as long as I put down a dish of food. Any port in a storm for those critters.
I predict that your cat will eventually adopt Babymainegreen once she figures out he's helpless compared to her. She may even like the baby more than you for a few months.:D

3. One of my cats got stuck in a mirror for quite awhile. |
|
For at least a week he sat in front of it for extended periods of time and stared and stared. Sometimes he'd paw at it, but mostly he just stared at his reflection. Eventually he lost interest, maybe because nothing ever happened.
