1. Someone called in

to Elaine Boosler who is filling in for Stephanie Miller, and said Katherine Harris is somehow involved with this too.

Don't know if her involvement has been confirmed or not, I just heard the caller say it.

I'm an ex-Catholic and I could be remembering wrong but isn't the "Dove" used not only as a symbol of Christ's peace but the Holy Spirit as well? Where are these people's so called Christian ethics? I guess they think Jesus was only joking when he said blessed are the peace makers. Oh who are we kidding this group would have proably shot him too.

Why aren't the churches protesting?

2. Mourning Doves are grey, not white.
When Bush ran for governor against Ann Richards, both candidates observed the opening of Dove Season. Ann didn't bag any birds. Bush shot one & wrung its neck. Unfortunately, it was a killdeer--a protected species. (He paid the fine.)

They can be pretty tasty. (Doves, not Killdeers.)

I can--& I'm not a hunter. (Mourning Doves are very common in my neighborhood.)

7. Doves shot by chicken hawks
Nice. That will be as close to combat these wing nuts will ever get to. I assume this is the usual "sporting" practice where caged birds are released in front of fat white men in Hummers just moments before they shoot?
