but i freakin' love watching Aussie Rules on tv. i think it's the refs with their nice white coats doing the robot whenever someone scores (or whatever it is that happens when the ball goes through the goalposty-things)

If it goes between the inner, taller posts. It's a goal and six points.

If it misses the inner posts but goes between the outer ones, it's a "behind" and one point.

A "mark" is, basically, a pass (kick) reception; the pass has to go at least 15 meters. The guy who takes the mark gets a free kick from the point of the mark, or he can play on.

That's about all I know. :blush:

I haven't seen Footy on the tube in years. ESPN used to show it, but that was back when they showed tractor pulls.

Not that it matters, since I'm cable-deprived. But I'm curious.

10. I like both

college and nfl...but went with college because I can see/watch more games...:) My only gripe with the college system is the BCS, its the most skewered disgusting thing in c. football. As for the the NFL...I can hardly ever catch a Hawks game, but with them winning more, hopefully they will be showing more of their games on teevee...its a sad day, when my team is the superbowl loser, and yet, I can't find any gear anywhere, my hawks, nor the NW gets no respect...
