The 'rents just left. What can I smoke, drink, and/or blow up? |
|
:P :P
They're gone for an hour or two to see a friend of theirs playing in a band intown. I would maybe go, but all I'd end up doing is watching my dad get drunk. :D
Sooo....What mischief should I attempt?

1. Not sure specifically what to recommend... |
|
But anything you can find that's explosive in any way shape or form is fun. Experiment. If you lose an arm or your face, hey at least it was fun!

2. Well if you lived in my house... |
|
you could drink an assortment of alcoholic beverages, smoke some Camel Lights, blow up some huge ass fireworks, then tear around in the woods on an ATV.
Not that I would um...ever condone such behavior...

I do not recommend playing with the speed chucks (nunchucks with ball bearing swivels & chain) while intoxicated. In my experience, this can lead to personal head injury.

Which is pretty good since that's one of the weapons I don't have real training in and it's the easiest to whack yourself with.

He's even more nuts about ATVs than he is about Go-Karts.
I'll do the smoking and drinking part, though. he's too young.

32. Yeah, the woods around the house are about three miles deep across |
|
the street and except for a couple of roads, about 15 miles deep behind the house. We've got cool stuff back there too, like a "haunted" reservoir and foundations of old cabins with just stone foundations and chimneys left.

Rockaway is (I think) the 2nd largest town in NJ landwise. Almost everyone lives in about a quarter of that though and we live close to the edge of that. Most of the town is nothing but woods and Pictatinny Arsenal (which is still mostly woods and up until 9-11 anyone could just walk on base).
My stepdad has a cabin in Stonington, CT though and there's cool old cemetaries & such there, of course.

Some very nice country up there.
You ever come up to Stonington, please do drop by. We're on the way from NJ to there. About 45 minutes from Stonington.

38. Funny hidden NJ story... |
|
So I was driving through Blairstown, which is really NW. It's one of those tons with a few stores and a bunch of woods and farms. And suddenly, I noticed a road sign that said, "Democracy Lane." So naturally, I had to exclaim to my friend "Holy Shit! Democracy Lane! No wonder we couldn't find democracy anywhere, it's in the middle of fucking Blairstown. Who the hell would look for it here?"

Live music beats blowing up stuff any old time, IMHO!
Just my two cents, though....

They combined live music and explosions. Next band I'm in, I'm gonna be blowing shit up left and right on stage.

My stepdad started out the summer with enough fireworks to take out Cuba. You blow up a 255 round explosive and that is pretty damn close to a live band.

26. Yeah, they're illegal here too (NJ) and the real ones are illegal in CT |
|
CT is where we set most of them off. However, our cabin is on a cove and the few neighbors we have all come out to see our display, so no issues there. And at our house in NJ, we also have only one close neighbor and they don't really care either way, so it's all good. We just buy them in PA. It's like a 45 minute drive over the border.

But the Maine State Police patrol the borders like hawks. They catch a ton of people, especially those who are fool enough to buy them right before the 4th of July.
