I fucking hate my dorm managers!! (rant)

The Internet in the dorm is down. (I'm in the Student Center on the wireless right now). Our dorm is 18 floors, and a good chunk of the population living there are School of Computer Science people like me, people who maybe just might want to use the Internet every now and then. So you would think that they might want to have a tech person on call, even *gasp* on a Sunday, just to fix things, because believe it or not, things do break. x( But no, the management goes home on the weekends (as in there's not even a single attendant in the office; I'm not asking to bitch at the manager herself - though she does deserve it - I just want to talk to somebody to make sure they're aware of the problem. I'm nice! Really!!), as do the tech people. The upshot: no Internet all day today. Kill me now! :banghead: :nuke:

I lived in the Residence Tower, and it was known for housing really strange people. I wonder why they put Me in there. :P

Anyway, the internets would go down all the time and no one cared. (The computer people all lived on the Other side of campus.) :D

The computer lab. Only problem is, the usual wireless network's been replaced with some new wireless network that won't even let me log in. :grr: So now I'm on the lab computer, on which I *have* to run Windows and Internet Explorer. Have I mentioned I hate Microsoft? :banghead:

5. I use to be an RA

and one of the hardest things to do was get the Tech people in the dorm to fix anything...we had two computer labs w/internet for about a year, but so many things wen't wrong with it, and to many people complaining, that they yanked internet out of the dorm, and if you wanted the internet you had to get it through a service provider of your choice, through your own room...

Our tech people were...3 people, to service at least 500 plus computers...

the year just started. you will never get a chance like this to socialize again. NEVER. TRUST ME. NEVER. NEVER. While your pluck and charm is a tonic to these boards, I am ordering you to ease up on the internet and put more energy toward making more new school friends. (hopefully a few cute ones among them.) I'm sure you do this already and I may be out of line but I don't care. I just had to say it.

That should put you back in business. But seriously, what do you need the Internets for? Why, when I was in college back in the Pleistocene era, before Al Gore (or was it Ted Stevens?) invented them Internets, we managed to amuse ourselves by smoking wacky tobaccy and streaking. You young whippersnappers should get out more; streaking is great exercise.
