The last week of "Searching for Shakespeare"...
...at the Yale British Art Museum, here in New Haven...has anyone else seen it? I've been a lifelong Bardolater, and read Schoenbaum's "Shakespeare's Lives" in college, and a half-dozen times since...as well as all the other biographies. And here is the ORIGINAL marriage bond, the coat of arms application, a First Folio, the will, all of it...as well as the Grafton Portrait, the Sanders Portrait...and above all, the Chandos Portrait...the real thing... Well. I've seen it all a dozen times, and in tend to see it at least once more this week before it closes...it's been a privilege. Anyone else catch it?
