The Shaggs are still a fascinating listen, at least to people like me who are enthusiasts of odd time signatures and general noise. When listening to The Shaggs, one can try to determine what the song was actually supposed to sound like. Also, the unintentional rhythmic interplay between the various instruments creates an unusual tension and release, not unlike comparing the tempo of your car's turn signal to that of the one in front of you (watching as they go in and out of sync).
