My first kitten post.
Edited on Mon Sep-11-06 10:00 AM by ThomCat
I recently got a digital camera. I found out that my apartment is a bit dim for pictures to come out well. I'll have to work on lighting. So only one picture have turned out okay so far.

This is Millie Dear. She was rescued when she was only a few weeks old from people who were setting kittens on fire. She's is very peculiar about who is allowed to come anywhere near her. But if you're one of those chosen few, she's an amazingly affectionate mush.

2. She looks like a love.

She also looks like she is one of the lucky survivors who found a wonderful home.

They really do get a lot of love and attention. :hi:

13. I'd like to come back as any pets.

I cooked a freshly baked sweet potato for my parrot, Miss Frodo, everyday until she grew tired of them.
We don't eat avocados at home because they are poisonous to parrots and she likes to kiss me. Her health, mental and physical wellbeing are paramount to me.

7. They were born under the porch of a crack house.
That shit can have a sick idea of what's fun. :grr:

I wouldn't wish them any harm though. I wish them some rehab and sobriety. I wish they would leave the cats alone in the meantime though.

10. The GIMP works like Photoshop but it's free
Edited on Mon Sep-11-06 12:34 PM by kgfnally
Cute kitten, by the way :D

You'll have to download the GTK+ 2 Runtime Environment to run it on Windows- it's at the link, along with the download for the GIMP itself.

http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/stable.html

Open your dark pic, go to Tools -> Color Tools and mess with hue, saturation, color balance, brightness, etc. as much as you like.

Did I mention the GIMP is free, and works like Photoshop? Well, minus a few professional tools, of course... but it's still a great app. Saves in multiple formats, too.

The GIMP project homepage is at www.gimp.org but you'll want to go to the gimp-win link if you're using Windows.

15. here is our new edition
Truman

Someone dumped him around the house and we spent about three weeks talking him from under ours and our neighbors house. He finally decided he liked the treats we were giving him and he just strolled in and made himself at home. Our older cat, Wednesday is not a fan yet but he is growing on her.

Wednesday

21. Keep an eye on that little marmalade tabby boy...he gots ATTITUDE.
You can see it.
For some reason, the marmalade kitties of both sexes tend to be scrappers...at least the ones that I have met.

Wednesday looks deceptively soft and pluffy and pet-able.
How many peoples' hands have you had to sew back on?
I know that look...

19. And she's got that cute little white tear-drop goatee.
Tuxedo kitties seem to be among the most neurotic for some reason, but they're wonderful beasties. :)

orange ones and Millie looks like our Lucy who lived 21 years.
