We got three credit card offers in the mail today |
|
I'm tempted to send a reply asking them just what in the hell they thought they were doing sending me these credit offers on a day of national mourning? and never ever never send me this trash again. Of course we'de be turned down cold if we did send them in, and don't use credit cards anyway, running on a strictly cash basis here.

I can't beleive they actually send me the offers...when if I were to accept, they would just have to turn me down. All cash here too.

2. I used to have a "Return to Sender" stamp.... |
|
and I'd routinely stamp them and let them go right back to the origin, hoping to cause them a little more paperwork and get me off of the list.
I don't think I'd do it anymore, though. I've seen a few come through with semi-private information on them, so now they all hit the shredder.
What a frigging waste of paper- I'm sure I fill a 55 gallon garbage can with just the credit card applications each year. Probably more.

3. did you ever wonder how much money credit card companies must waste |
|
sending direct mail solicitations like that? I mean, they're gonna be all over my ass if my payment is a day late, like it's going to break them or something, and then I get generally five or six of these things every week, usually with one of those fake cards with "Your Name Here" printed on them or whatever...what a waste.

4. That's different you see |
|
That's a business cost one that we probably pay for through the tax loopholes the credit industry enjoys.
