Blah, blah, blah...
I hate introductary class sessions. Sadly, the professors all have to cover the exact same thing because people don't pay attention. Like the plagiarism policy hasn't been banged into my skull already. x(

6. We get scrubbed from the roster and have to re-register
if we do not show up the first day. It's torture.

3. Heh
That's cause they just know that you're gonna pick it up, drop it in your backpack with everything else and then not even think about it until you clean your backpack out at the end of the semester.

They figure, this way they can be sure you read it. Plus, after yawning your way through this class, even the dullest lecture is going to seem scintillating and provocative and downright fascinating by comparison.

7. Want to hear something funny?
My first two years of college, I never went to class the first week...and after coming back to school in 02, I finally went to my first class, on the first day...and got my first syllabus. I was like, damn, I wish they handed out more of these...and my friend ernie asked me what I meant, and I replied, "I never got one before."

I never knew what one was...until the start of my third year...:) My first two years, I hardly put any effort into it, but after growing up a bit, and returning five years later, I took everything really serious...
