Tech/Graphic/Web question
Does anyone know how to make a STILL freeze of web video that you watch online?

For example, if i were watching the video of Anderson Cooper linked on CNN.com today running during the afghan attack, how do i create a pic of that from the video? is it possible?

thanks!

1. The "PrintScreen" button

You should have it on your keyboard (it's F12 on mine).

Push the button at the appropriate time (sometimes in conjunction with the ALT button), then open "Paint", then "paste" and edit.

I do this all the time.

3. nifty!
ok, so here's what happened tho... it took the screen, including the pop-up player where the video was, but it didn't show the video! only a black screen instead!

5. Holding the Alt key...
Will make it tak a screenshot of only the window in focus, rather than the whole screen.

6. Not sure if this works on embedded WMP videos...
But try Ctrl + i. If that doesn't work, find the direct URL to the video file and open it up in Windows Media Player, THEN press Ctrl + i.

9. well that definitely did something
but it saves it only a small portion of the video, like the upper or lower corner.

i'll keep trying.

7. Try using a instant polaroid camera.
Barring that, maybe you can draw very quickly.
