my older stepbrother could use some good thougths
Just got an email from my mom. He had a heart attack Saturday. He's in his 40s. They're putting two stents in--he may be able to go home tomorrow if everything goes okay. It was a massive heart attack that killed our dad 30 years ago (he was in his 40s too).

I haven't seen him in many years. I'm a little in shock.

Please send him and his wife and kids some good vibes.

Such a stressful thing to have happen. I hope his health returns to being good.

:grouphug:
this sounds like what happened to my husband in June.....
He had emergency angioplasty and they put in one stent after they shocked him back
Then he went about a week later to get the second one
He is doing great now and cardiac rehab is awesome....
good thoughts.......

4. Thanks--we've got some bad heart genes
My dad was only 44 when he died in '77. They couldn't do a thing for him back then. Thank goodness cardiac medicine has changed for the better.

8. Yeah. I think I should get a check up
I haven't been to the doctor in years. I just recently got health insurance so I should get my money's worth.

7. Sounds like he's fortunate.
Could be much, much worse. I'm sure he's getting very good care, and the advances in cardiac treatment have been tremendous. So he should be fine.

Best wishes to him and to your family.
