Giant Babies at DU

Following a conversation I had with a friend regarding GIANT BABIES, I'm wondering the weight of the largest baby you or your significant other delivered.

Please post the weight of your largest baby.

My son weighed 9 lb 11 oz.

6 lbs. 6 oz. Which was dissapointing since I was 8 lbs. 14 oz.!!!!!

My brother was 10lbs, my mother quit after she had me

Home birth. Had him, start to finish, after lunch and before dinner-- didn't even miss a meal. We ordered pizza for dinner.

I was a little over 8 lb, and that was enough.

Whew..........she did NOT look new at all...

I had never pushed that hard before!

Her older sister weighed 8 pounds 13 ounces.......

10. Not my baby, but my cousin weighed 10lbs, 10oz, when she was born

And her brother was 10lbs even. And they were both delivered vaginally.

But was 22.5" long. He's now age 27, 6'4", and has shoulder length across back of over 2 feet.

15. 10 lbs, 14 oz. grandson.

My daughter often tells the story about how random visitors to the maternity ward used to view all of the hospital's babies through the window (do they still do that?). They had the weights of the babies on tags, and visitors invaribly remarked "ten lbs., 14 ozs.! Holy crap!" to which my daughter would always take some measure of pride.

18. My oldest son was 10.5 lbs at birth.

His brother? He is the little guy in the family. He only weighed 10 lbs. at birth.

Both boys were 2 1/2 to 3 weeks early, though....
