Ladies: How long does it take you to "freshen up" your hair? |
|
I just got back from lunch at a restaurant. I went to the restroom to pee and when I got in, a middle=aged woman was "fluffing" her hair up. I waited for an empty stall, went in and peed, taking my time. When I emerged, the woman was STILL doing her hair (a short layered cut, BTW).
Like ten minutes later, halfway into my lunch, I saw the woman emerge from the restroom area.
:wtf: TWENTY or so minutes to touch up your hair????!
Takes me less than thirty seconds! Am I just ugly and don't know it?

1. I usually don't have need to freshen my hair during the day... |
|
but if I do, it's just a quick finger comb/fluff.

5. My question is, who was she with? |
|
If she was doing a "power lunch" with an asshole customer, this may be why...
Asshole Customer wants to have a long personal conversation, eat an expensive meal (on Woman Fluffing Hair's expense account, naturally), knock back a couple of martinis, maybe invite Woman Fluffing Hair to a "private business meeting" at the No-Tell Motel.
Woman Fluffing Hair wants to get the guy to sign on the bottom line and leave.
Which is why Woman Fluffing Hair spent twenty minutes working on a hairstyle that needs twenty seconds' maintenance once a day.

6. Well, I never saw her with anyone and she left the building alone. |
|
I think she was just a little nuts, actually.

I have long straight hair. It takes me approximately 10 seconds to brush it and I'm good to go.

9. It only takes me 8-12 minutes to braid my 4-foot long hair... |
|
She was avoiding her lunch companion, or maybe delaying something she had to do in the restroom until it was empty (blow maybe? or perhaps she had made the unwise choice of a bean burrito for breakfast?)

I need a mirror, a hairbrush and a hairtie if I'm pulling it back. Two minutes top, assuming it's been windy or humid. Less in good haird day conditions, and I have very long hair.

11. My sister is like that |
|
It takes her FOREVER to do her hair and there's nothing to it. No fancy cut, no cowlick or difficult curl or anything. And it always looks exactly the same as when she started.
I don't get it either. It takes me a couple of minutes to run a comb through it and make it tidy - and I've got very long, thick hair.

15. My stepfather'd spend 45 minutes on his hair, slop half a bottle of goo in |
|
and it'd still look just the same as it did on his way into the bathroom.* And he had a crew cut. :eyes:
*Only one bathroom folks. Life was hard when I was a young'n.

Nobody thinks I'm ugly. I may not be everyone's cup of tea, but nobody thinks I'm ugly.

It's naturally curly and I'll run my fingers through it when it's dry.
