1. I always dreamed of learning to play the sitar. I love Indian classical .. |
|
Music. I had all of Ravi Shankar's recondings in the mid sixties but missed his last public performance in Vancouver because I was facking broke !!!!
Maybe you could answer a question ZombyWoof? Why do some sitars not have the resonator on the fret board?

8. That was a classic film! |
|
And then he went on to make Ghee Blues (retitled in other countries as G.I. Tract Blues) and, of course, Blue Hawaii and Goa! Goa! Goa!. Kind of a pity, how his acting promise was to some extent squandered as a result, but I mujst say that I did very much enjoy Viva Calcutta. And Stay Away, Gandhi had its moments, as did Paradise, Punjabi Style and Change Of Sari.
Probably my favorite song:
Well, that is being all right, Maharishi That is being all right with you Well, that is being all right, Maharishi Just any way that you are doing...
Then there's "Sikh Sikh Rider."
They don't make 'em like that any more.

5. I used to work at a recording studio and one of our clients had |
|
an electric sitar that looked like an electric guitar. We had one of the guitar techs tell him "hey, I got rid of that noise in your guitar...it sounds great, now."
He didn't think our joke was very funny.

another damned copycat thread.
I'm taking back all my links.
You don't deserve them.
