Somedays, I hate being female (Cramps from Hell)
As Haruka2_3000 would say, I feel like my uterus is trying to claw its way out of my body....and that's after a dose of 2 Aleve...sigh. If that's TMI, so be it, but it stinks, regardless....And my back feels like it's getting stabbed repeatedly. x(

After he finishes his martini on the porch, Sniffa's going to come rub my back and neck...He's wonderful like that. :)

Otherwise, I'm just dandy though :)

Thanks for listening y'all :grouphug:

1. Sorry sweetie.
Would a hot bath help? That's usually my best way of coping.

2. Yes, a hot bath, or...
get into the tub and turn on the shower. Let the hot water pound that area. It helps!

3. I take a 2 litre soda bottle
and fill it w/hot water. MUCH better than your traditional hot water bottle or heating pad, due to the weight and the shape. ;)

And get some *good* chocolate in ya, ffs.

23. sorry to hear...
2 Aleve and a Thermacare--some red wine and chocolate (or KrispyKreme doughnuts) and a hot bath...and whatever the fuck you want to eat. That's my recipe usually. So sorry. Cramps are a real bitch fer sure.

6. Reason #2 of about 413 why I'm glad I'm not a woman.
Truly, honestly, you women get the short end of so many sticks...

Can you imagine a guy with PMS and attendant cramps? He'd never leave the couch for those couple of days, begging the Mrs to bring him another Jack Daniel's...

Hope that Mr S can get you relaxed. You need it tonight.

28. This HAPPENS EVERY MONTH, CRAMPS SUCK
you feel bloated, gaseous, nauseated, sluggish, stinky, gross and lazy. Just want to sleep for 2 days straight.

Men out there, you will never know!!

Even if your sweetie is a bitch for at least 3 days of the month

7. I had cramps like that the other day...
I ended up crying in my science class at school because of my cramps. The nurse couldn't even give me aspirin. I hurt so damn much that day. It sucked.

9. oh, bi-baby, honey I'm sorry you feel so rotten
I have 2, no 3 ok 4 suggestions (I'm a girl & I have 3 daughters, so I have some expertise.)
1. get one of the rice husk/microwaveable heating pads
2. lie down on the floor with your butt up against the lower edge of the sofa with your feet on the cushion. Now put the heating pad in the small of your back.
3. oil of primrose
4. fish oil supplements.

10. I hope you feel better by now
Cramps are the worst. I suffered many years with them (every 20 days, actually) until I begged the doc to do a hysterectomy. He only agreed after the ultra-sound shows 3 fibroids. Sorry, again, if that was TMI for anybody.

Hang in there! :grouphug:

I work with 7... no 8 women, all of us have/had terrible PMS this last week. I didn't have cramps this time, but every part of my body hurt. Especially my boobs.. oh gawd. x(

Sorry, I guess I'm continuing with the TMI. I hope you feel better soon sweetie. :loveya:

12. I was really emo.
I didn't hurt or anything, I'd just start crying at random moments. It was odd, I normally don't get that at all.

14. I was too.
I had a bad day at work, I sobbed all the way home, and for about an hour after I got home. I mean I was bawling, on my bed, in a little ball. It was awful.

I hate it, every year the cramps are more pronounced, along with my boobs feeling like lead weights.

As I said before, for me not too much longer!!

13. How long since you took the Aleve?
When I used to take that, it would take at least an hour to kick in, then I'd be much better. I'm sure your back rub will help. :-)

20. Try evening primrose oil
PMS and cramps used to be horrible for me until I started taking it...within 3 months it was fully gone - and I haven't had to deal with them now for about 8 years. It's the evening primrose oil that I take every day. I wish I would have known about it 25 years ago.

in a month and skip a month or 2 with mega doses of advil, wine, beer, vodka, chocolate. I can't wait until this is totally over.

Won't conceive any children as I think I am too old

I am a older, wiser lesbian anyway, never thought of myself as such, but it fits now.

Now, I only wish I was this smart 15 years ago!!

Edited on Sun Sep-24-06 04:38 AM by benny05
I take 1000 milligrams of Advil...doc says that is OK for me once a month.

I tried freeze drying my innerads to reduce the flow--had surgery done. Didn't help me.

I figure I have five or less years more to go.

Take care. My spouse is lousy at doing rubs, but at least he is supportive about my pain.
