Best of both worlds: Next Door Dog |
|
Lucy is an affectionate beagle who lives next door. However, she feels responsible for BOTH houses. I can tell when someone's coming up the front walk by Lucy's shrill yapping. Get 'em. Lucy!
I can tell when someone's coming up the front walk next door by her slightly more distant yapping. She walks with me every morning. If her 'parents' aren't home, she hides out from thunderstorms here.
I don't have to take her to the vet, or bathe her, or feed her. Except when her folks are gone, and then she gets to move in here for a few days. Even then, they supply the food. She prefers the guest room bed.
Next door dogs are great. ;-)

5. My neighbors found her running down the highway in a thunderstorm. |
|
Tried to locate the owners, but couldn't. Her tail is docked and she's very hand shy. Especially with men. I'm sure she was abused before. She sure isn't now. She also has two little girls (4 and 2 1/2) that she watches over. :-)
