I think I have a disease. Let's call it "Album completism." |
|

Once I hit "play" on an album, I cannot stop listening to it until it is over. I cannot just listen to half the album and stop, or even just a few select tracks. Like right now, I'm listening to a Steely Dan album I've heard 10,000 times, and yet I WILL NOT go and get dressed until the album is done. Why? Because that would require a break in album listening mid-album.
Is there a twelve-step program for this?:cry:

2. I have that problem too. |

I absolutely can't stand listening to things on random, either. Songs need context.

There are only a handful of very good albums I'm like that with.

Kinda "Janie Runaway"-ish. Except I've never run away. And menage a trois isn't really my thing.

5. Will a 4-step program do? |
|
1) Rip all your CDs to MP3. 2) Obtain a stereo that can play MP3 CDs, if yours can't. 3) Write your MP3 into CD-Rs (each CD-R will hold 10-15 albums). 4) Play THOSE in your stereo, with shuffle.

Track 4. And an excellent track, as well, although they all are on that album. My fav. from Aja is "Deacon Blues." ;)
