Avenue Q: The Internet is for Porn!

Who has seen this musical live? I saw some clips of this just now and it looks hilarious.

I know I'm a bit slow to the party, since it won a Tony.

Some nerds someplace on the Internets created a World of Warcraft video out of the song "The Internet is for Porn" and now I can't get it out of my head... lol. What a sad earworm!

Oh and it's not porn, but it will get into your ear, and you may find yourself singing it at the store or some other inappopriate place.

2. I love Avenue Q!
Never seen it, but I own the soundtrack. Still waiting for the national tour, seeing as I doubt I'll be getting up to NYC anytime soon. :hi:

3. There are some clips on the avenue q site
Its pretty interesting that you can see the puppets and their puppeteers singing at the same time.

A little disconcerting, sort of like a cross between sesame street and those japanese puppets shows where you see the full body actor in black moving the puppet across the stage.

Where are the poor puppets legs though? :D

4. I've seen several clips on YouTube.
Hell, that's the closest I'll get to seeing any Broadway shows for a good long while, I think. :)

I do love AQ, though. Very clever stuff. :hi:

5. In a volatile market...
Go to the Avenue Q site and watch the second "School for Monsters" clip.

Check it out: Kate Monster, who is the sweet-voiced singer in "The Internet Is For Porn," wants to open a school for monsters. It's kinda hard to find an angel for a school for monsters...until Trekkie Monster, the character who sings the "for porn" lines, showers her with ten million dollars.

When asked where he got it, Trekkie says, "in a volatile market, the only stable investment is porn."
