The Houston Texans, or, Mark Brunell Ain't That Good.
0-3 baby. As John McClain said in the Houston Chronicle, "the Texans take a pass on anything resembling professional defense in a 31-15 home loss to the Washington Redskins."

He also said this: "One of the worst defensive performances in the history of professional football in Houston was primarily responsible for a 31-15 loss to the Washington Redskins and a third consecutive embarrassing effort that saddled the Texans with an 0-3 record."

Mark Brunell completed 22 CONSECUTIVE passes. That's an NFL record, folks. That embarassing. Texans cornerback Dunta Robinson said "If we don't play better, we're going to be the laughingstock of the NFL again."

Look around, Dunta. You are the laughingstock of the NFL.

1. Brunell thanks the Texans for saving his job! He needed that!
and thanks to the Texans for giving a much needed boost of self-esteem to the Redskins. We needed the help. Desperately.

2. Clinton Portis could have had a 60% completion rate.
That was the most god-awful thing i've ever seen. And i've been a Houston fan (Astros/Rockets/old school Oilers) for a long time.

3. I gave up on the Redskins years ago .. too many broken hearts.
They make more money than any other NFL franchise, supposedly. They used to consistently start off the season well before they snatched defeat from the jaws of victory, but now they can't even do that, even with the resurrection of Joe Gibbs.

5. Of course, I am the contrarian
>Mark Brunell completed 22 CONSECUTIVE passes. That's an NFL record, folks.<

We were lucky enough to watch Mark Brunell throughout his college career at the University of Washington. He is that good. I'm sorry that the Redskins fans don't seem to think so.
