I feel like such a fool.
It wasn't Annie and Miss Clairol ... it was Hillary Duff and Sean John!
And it wasn't New Orleans, it was Oak Park, Illinois!
Please forgive me for my stupidity, my insolance, and most of all, my stupidity!

6. The first minerals to cool in the Bowen's Reaction Series... |
|
are:
Olivine, then pyroxine, then amphiboles, then the feldspars, then the micas, garnets, then finally, quartz.
The first minerals to melt are: quartz, garnets, micas, feldspars, amphiboles, pyroxines, then finally, the olivines.
Neat how that works, eh? :D

Stock market trading is the biggest industry in the world. In the US alone the dollar volume of daily trading exeeds the money changing hands in the 'real' economy by 3 times or more. (It was 5 times at the mania peak in early 2001)
The stock market IS the economy. Profit from ongoing bussiness is pathtic on an historical basis, and irrelevant. Capitalism as described by Adam Smith is dead.
If you own stock you are playing a vital role in the destruction of free markets and democracy. You'll probably make money however so who cares? Right?

35. Dubya, Sisters, and Girlfriends |
|
The elder Bushes -- Poppy and Bar -- had one child that didn't make it past childhood. It was a daughter, her name was Robin, and if reports are correct, a very young Dubya doted on her.
Robin died. I'm not sure how it happened.
There was another Robin in Dubya's young life. He was about 23, home from school, and took a fancy to a certain Robin Lowman.
Whom he reportedly impregnated.
When she was fifteen years old.
She's now married to an up-and-coming FBI agent, Jerry Garner, so for her husband's sake, Robin Lowman Garner has learned to keep her mouth shut tightly.

36. The original Washington National Airport |
|
was where the Pentagon is today. The main runway was, unaccountably, lined up in such a way that planes had to fly directly over the Washington Monument to land. So in the late 1930's they decided to relocate about two or three miles down the Potomac, an area known as Buzzard's Point. It was mostly water, so they filled it in, built runways and a terminal and it opened in June of 1941. And decided to use the old location as a new building to house military offices. It only took about 18 months or so to build the Pentagon during WWII. I think it opened in 1943.
