I disappeared , cops were called! |
|
Yesterday morning , my friend Rosemary called me and asked me if I would like to spend the day with her.
Of course , I answered . I have known Rosemary 47 yr , she is one of my oldest and dearest friends.
Meanwhile back at the ranch , my daughter , Melanie is frantically trying to call me.
when she couldn't contact me , she called her sisters
and her brothers
and her aunts
No one knew where Midge was
so Melanie called the cops
They came with sirens and flashlights , paying special attention to the woods and the lake
NO me to be found anywhere
Andy , my son was ready to drive the four hours it would take him to get here.
Carissa , my grand daughter booked a flight from Florida (I am in Indiana)
Then my daughter in law thought to check the last call made on my phone.
I was found!!
I will never go any farther than my mail box without letting someone know
I promise
to make this all make sense, I am 66 and I live alone and my kids are good little worry warts

I love their Mom too, so totally understand where their coming from, although i am not sure i wouldn't have (over)reacted in the same manner. Glad their concern was for naught. :loveya:

9. Given the loss you just experienced, I think they reacted very |
|
appropriately. It seems to me that your loving daughter was concerned about both your physical well being and your state of mind during this sad time.
You're a lucky lady.

I know. I always told myself that if I never got to meet him in person I would absolutely pay my respects at his funeral. And here I sit, half a dozen states away.
I still can't believe he's gone.
I was telling a good friend about Ed for the first time yesterday. About twenty minutes into it my friend was crying, even though I wasn't (just as sad, but all cried out). Crying for the loss of such a beautiful spirit, even on a second-hand account. It's that way with Ed, isn't it?

But, jeez, don't you have a cell phone?
It's pretty funny, the more I think about it. Something my own family might do! :D
