you are totally right, you nailed it on your goggle investigation.

Highway US 1 California from big Sur up, the road to Hana Hawaii and the road to Purgatory Colorado coming from Delta are some of the most extreme and beautiful roads here in the US, I have driven on.

But this road is the most extreme mountain road I have ever seen on the planet, the rock from the tunnels would scare me more than the road.

South America for that matter is a place I would like to see one day,
but not especially traveling on that road in Bolivia.
