But why do bands like those these days have to have a geek-freak, psychotic acting lead singer that over-acts so stupidly and pretends to be overcome with emotion? It is not professional or artistic. It is hoaky and annoying.
BTW, that guy sounds exactly like the singer for The Cure. Not original.
BTW, the guitarist toyed with doing the Gene Simmons tongue thing.
Rock n' Roll does not seem to be progressing much.

I loved THE KILLERS a lot more when they were doing an impression if Brit/Synth instead of a horrible Springsteen impression.
And since when does Brandon Flowers wear flannel? Or have facial hair?? Or big thick-rimmed glasses???
They're trying too hard to re-invent themselves methinks, hmm...

That's the impression I've gotten of him...certainly nothing special (I didn't see his SNL appearance but probably don't need to to confirm that suspicion.)
And any guy who thinks Jessica Simpson is some great prize doesn't rate too highly in my book. I like men who find women of substance attractive...guys who go for the vapid Paris Hilton/Jessica Simpson types are usually morans themselves.

40. That there COMputer thing in front of you allows for a career |
|
that an "entertainer" would not normally have.
I think Cook marketed the hell out of himself on MySpace or YouTube or at least with that crowd. They all received phone emails or something and the law of shotguns tells us that you almost have to hit something. He hit a certain % and that is his audience. It makes for a good living too.
I read somewhere about some girl on YouTube who got signed to a development deal with Carson Daily I went and checked out her videos and they were basically her making fun of the retarded BUT lots of people watch it so there is money to be made there.
I could go on but a friend was telling me about seeing Rob Schneider on "MTV's CRibs" and he said "this is the house that Adam Sandler built" I looked it up on imdb and Sandler has produced all those movies for Schneider and "Ladies Man" and whatshisname Farleys sidekick-David Spade....everyone they get paid a couple million and Sandler makes a couple more and everyone is happy.

He's like the comedic equivalent of the Dave Matthews Band - bland, good enough, and aimed at college students.

Sorry, but I thought that Dane Cook's Comedy Central Presents special from a few years back was one of the funniest standup specials I have ever seen. His stuff about going to church and working at BK really made me laugh because I could relate to it (I was raised Catholic and worked at BK for 2 years in high school). However, I didn't think his second CD was as funny as the first and OCCASIONALLY he annoys me, but overall I'm a fan.
