3. Lazy?

I have two papers to write.

I'm stuck on the first one, a 2-3 page deal on my thoughts on Cinema Veritae Due Wednesday, the other a 4-8 pager on the history of Personal Audio from the Transitor Radio to the iPod, which I have yet to do detailed researdch on This one's due Tuesday..

5. ooh ... transistor radios! Thanks for stirring those old memories.

My birthday present when I was 12 was a transistor radio -- "10-transistor," I think it was -- and it came with a real leather case with all the little holes cut out so you could reach the knobs and dials.

All transistor radios then were valued according to how MANY transistors they had. And in those days (during the Fifties), it was a LOT stranger to see a person walking around with a little radio to her ear and "music coming from nowhere" than it was when cellphones were first invented and we saw people talking on them in public.

In fact, now that I think about it, after transistor radios became so common by the early Sixties, I wonder what took so long for the electronic gadget inventors to get around to mobile phones?

Are you allowed to do research by talking to people, or do you have to cite your sources in books or periodicals? :)

It totally rained buckets an hour or so ago, with thunder and lightning, and it got so dark I had to put the lights on. Now it has cleared and become sunny again.

We had 4 rounds of storms last night. Lots of thunder and lightning. Today the sun's out and hopefully things can dry out. I'm working at my friend's garden center this afternoon. It should be a beautiful day.
