What do you know?

While our knowledge might compound and change throughout our lives, and while many of us are continually assessing and reassessing our goals, ideals, perceptions, and desires, what do you feel like you KNOW about yourself and your life?

I know that while I enjoy the trivial things in life, the people in my life matter, foremost, to me.
I know I am not going to get any taller.
I know that I want a profession, once my kids are in school.
I know that I have a *need* to excel at things that are important to me.
I know that I am done having babies.
I know that I am not interested in engaging in petty cruelty towards others.
I know that I have remarkable friendships.
I know that I don't want to own a Humvee. Ever.

I know what I want to teach my children.
I know what I want to change about myself, and what my motivations for doing so are.
I know what I love about myself, and I appreciate those things more now than I used to.
I know how I've sabotaged myself in the past, and I have a pretty good idea why I've done so.
I know what I regret.
I know what I still need to figure out.

What a terrific idea for a thread.....

There are some things I know about me too......

As I near the end of my life.......I know I'm more than half-way there.

I know I don't need to worry about my kids any more...they're both adults, and in charge of their lives.

I know, the same way you do, that people are what really matter to me!

I know that writing and photography are the crafts that I want to devote myself to, now.

I know that for me, love is the motivating force in my life.....

I know that it has awakened me to passions that I was only dimly aware of before....

I know what my passions are, and how to make the most of them.

I know that being here on DU has led me down some roads that I would never have discovered otherwise....

And I wouldn't have missed those for the world!

11. Things I know

I know that we desperately need a new administration.
I know that gas prices are temporarily lower because it is midterm elections. (though I can't prove it)
I know that big business and government are too closely aligned these days.
I know that outsourcing jobs, for cheap labor, is eliminating a middle class in America.
I know that it is inappropriate to laugh when people die in a plane crash.
I know that most people are irrational about their fear of flying.
I know that most people are not rational, enough, about how dangerous driving is.
I know that most Texans do not know how to properly merge onto a freeway.
I know that my cats do not obey me.
I know that I don't drink enough water.
I know that I'm too lazy to think about any more things I might know!

I know I wouldn't like being a doctor.
I know some of my friends smoke pot.

I know I'd never kill myself.
I know I could have done better in school last year.
I know I talk in my sleep.
