tears for fears
"In violent times, you shouldn't have to sell your soul
In black and white, they really really ought to know
Those one track minds that took you for a working boy
Kiss them goodbye, you shouldn't have to jump for joy
You shouldn't have to jump for joy

Shout, shout, let it all out, these are the things I can do without
Come on, I'm talking to you, come on"

Mad World
All around me are familiar faces
Worn out places, worn out faces
Bright and early for their daily races
Going nowhere, going nowhere
And their tears are filling up their glasses
No expression, no expression
Hide my head I want to drown my sorrow
No tomorrow, no tomorrow
And I find it kind of funny
I find it kind of sad
The dreams in which I'm dying
Are the best I've ever had
I find it hard to tell you
'Cos I find it hard to take
When people run in circles
It's a very, very
Mad World

Although I do actually prefer the Gary Jules version from Donny Darko. :-)

2. Sowing the Seeds of Love
Change "Granny" to "Frat Boy," and it works.

"Politician granny with your high ideals
Have you no idea how the majority feels
So outlaws in a promised land
We're fools to the rule of the government plan
Kick out the style, bring back the jams!"

4. "Shout" and "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" takes me
back to a very special time in my life.

"The Hurting" is a great album, too...not a feel good album, though.
