especially for women who have wide feet ...

(you are welcome to participate even if you are not a woman but either know about or buy women's shoes)

1. Aldo's.
I don't have wide feet though, so I'm not sure if they have a selection of those.

3. Good question
I don't have wide feet but I find it very difficult to find cool and comfortable boots.

4. comfort!
I have wide feet plus a problem with my hip that doesn't allow me to wear any kind of heels unless I want to risk breaking my ankle so it's all about the comfort for me. I wear either Sketchers or Doc Martens so they are "shit kicking" boots that make my feet feel like butter!

5. have you tried zappo's?
it has tons of shoes. you'll probably find what you want in the "comfort shoe" section.

8. I'll echo the Zappos.com recommendation.
I have really wide feet, and I've bought several pairs of comfy shoes/boots from them. Good customer service, too.

6. Nordstroms Rack
Do they have one near where you live? Unfortunately, boots won't be on sale until the end of the season. In that case, do they have a Famous Footwear near you?

7. If you find out, let me know.
:hi: All the boots I can find (with the exception of the ones reyd reid reed found at Target :D) are made for stick figures and/or Barbie dolls. My legs are short and muscular, and ankle boots are usually all I can manage.

Meanwhile, I'll keep my eyes open here too! :hi:

9. Target.
They always have the cutest shoes, and usually keep decent sizes in stock. However, I don't have an especially hard to shop for shoe size, but from what I can tell they do carry wides.

I would say Zappos, but damn they are expensive!!!!!

11. I agree with the Zappo's reccomendation
I've also found nice boots at Burlington Coat Factory and at DSW, surprisingly, esp. when they have a sale. I only buy flat boots though, I'm not really into high heels.

I think it's really hard to find supremely comfortable boots, though.

12. I bought my most recent pair at Macy's.
They had a ton to choose from, and I did notice that some came in wide widths.

14. Oh, I just had to share these boots. VERY comfortable.
Lots of room. Till you put on two or three pairs of socks.

Not so stylish. ;)

My boots are over 20 years old. Bought them in Mammoth Lakes in the early 80's.
Still in great shape - for a boot that you have to cover with snow seal every now and then.

Sorel Boots. Or as they are known anywhere they are really put to proper use - 'local boots.' ;)
