21 years ago today
October 1, 1985, I began working for a social service agency - protective services. 21 years later, I am still working for a social service agency.

21 years. I'll be damned. Patting myself on the back for not going completely crazy yet. Close, but not completely.

21 years of working with families. 21 years.

yay me

2. Congratulations!
You are definitely to be commended. It's not the best of circumstances to sustain for 21 years. You should be proud of the support and service you offer to those who need it and aren't always easy to work with in a system that is usually pretty tough to navigate. :hi:

That's quite an accomplishment, alright! I could never stay 21 years in any one occupation, especially one that difficult! :toast:

6. Congrats!
I really wanted to do that, but there was this bitch of a professor at the school I attended who was a drunk who blocked me at every pass. So I majored in juvenile justice. And I ended up at a mortgage company. I guess the child development classes will help me when we foster parent. I guess it will work out the way it's supposed to.
Congrats on helping 21 years worth of family. You rock!!
Duckie

8. It takes a gifted person to be able to work
in that field and stay in the field without getting burned out or going crazy. :toast:
