I'm listening to "Murder Ballads" while reading Criminal Law. |
|
Depraved-heart murder, to be precise.
This is pretty damn effective.

1. I suspect you will have an interesting persepective on your law |

texts as time goes by.... ;)
Bands that I was in were always full of graduate students in bio, anthropology and pychology, so it made for some very intriguing song topics....

2. I'm actually thinking about which deaths in "O'Malley's Bar" are |
|
first-degree murder, which are felony-murder, and which would be self-defense (if not for the fact that the narrator was the aggressor the whole time), and whether O'Malley's estate would have some tort liability for O'Malley's failure to protect the patrons (probably not).
That and Blixa Bargeld's singing is creepy.

one of my friends is a lawyer who moonlights as a really strange singer of offbeat tunes similar to what you are describing...
that's actually a pretty clever way to think about what differentiates different types of crimes, etc.
