Does the handicapped parking sign apply to dogs? |
|
There was a handicapped sign at a dog park I visited recently. Well, I'm not handicapped but my 14 year old dog has severe arthritis. I've never seen a handicapped person at a dog park, ever. So I parked, just once, in the handicapped spot, so my dog wouldn't have to walk so far to get into the park. He's way too big to be carried.
Am I terrible?
Should I have been ticketed?

3. No I can't. He's over 60 pounds. |
|
I can lift him from point A to point B but I can't carry him more than a few steps- too heavy for me.

2. You have to have a medical justification and your Dr has to fill out |
|
the appropriate paperwork with the DMV.
It sweet of you to try to make life easier for your dog, but what you did is definitely illegal.
