What did women in primitive cultures do about menstruation?
I'm talking cultures where they don't even have what we'd call "cloth."

2. Seems like that would be messy
But some cultures did have huts that the women would go in... maybe so they could be messy together? :shrug:

ie out to the bush or woods or jungle or tall grasses, until their (overt) period was past. I cannot cite, but recall reading/hearing this from what I'd consider anthropological sources. There were superstitions about menstruating women, and I think that they were "encouraged" or pushed away for this time in their cycle.

Or...I am full of crap, the more so for passing on mis-remembered info
:shrug:?

Surely the Web can tell us....
