Did you ever get into a flamewar with someone that just starts completely MAKING SHIT UP and then when called on it, claims that you're just embarassed and trying to hide it?

Honestly, sometimes I feel like if it was taking place at a HS debate, I'd finally just walk over and have to bitchslap the hell out of my opponent.

14. I was in a flamewar with someone once about a certain Senate candidate

because the candidate didn't meet or exceed the poster's expectations on one single issue.

The poster threw out baseless and generalized attacks, called me Bush-lite and a DINO, and said I was enabling the bigots (even though the poster proudly announced that they weren't going to support the Dem candidate.

Then, after several minutes of me and another DUer arguing with this person, we found that they didn't even live in the Senator's state!

I was called a Limbaugh listening, John Wayne wannabe cowboy for daring to say that I thought an elderly woman in a wheelchair was in the right to shoot the man who was mugging & choking her. On the gun thing, I'm too far to the right for some (I support the Second Amendment) and too far to the left for others (I support registration of all firearms and making it very difficult to get one).

So they leave me alone.
