When did being suave go out of style?

I was seeing this guy, which went cold a while back (very bizarre, dudes confused).

The other night, I'm out for my friends birthday and there he is. Tryin' to dance with me, trying to buy me drinks, and eventually walking me home, at which point he tries to make out with me. He's telling me he 'loves' me, and the reason things didn't work out before is he's afraid of marriage (Wtf?). Lots of nice though somewhat ridiculous compliments later, he finally goes home and I go to bed.

I wake up in the morning to a message on my MSN from him. It was left while he was still drunk and I'm pretty sure it was MEANT to be sexy or attractive or something, but...

I'm not even sure I can say it here. It just had to do with sitting and slang words for body parts, and what I should have done with him.

Who the hell says things like that? I mean, I'm at times pretty crude, but come on. And it's not just him! That same night, the ex boyfriend of a very good friend of mine told me about how much he still thinks about my friend and how he misses her, and then not half an hour later is trying to kiss me and giving me his phone number. Who DOES that?

You described something in the OP that sounds a lot more familiar than "agreeable and polite" encounters. I could count the number of those I've had on one hand (and I think I married two of them and I'm living with a third). But ask me about rude, crude, offensive and off the wall and I could go on for days.
